Neighbor Gene and Steve The neighbor of the State Farmers’ State Bank (FSB) have been recognized as two of the most influential Iowa business leaders in Iowa 500 of Corridor Media Group 500 The magazine, which highlights 500 from senior business leaders from all over state. Neighbor Gene served as President and CEO of FSB for 10 years. On January 1, he moved to the main property official. Being with FSB for 51 years, Gene has held various roles, including the executive vice president and the leading credit official. Neighborhood currently serves as President and CEO on FSB. His passing to CEO in January marks the third generation of the neighboring family leading the bank. Steve has been with FSB for 39 years, holding various leadership roles, including the executive vice president. This list of the most influential business leaders was compiled by the Corridor Business Gazette (CBJ) and the Quad City Regional Business Newspaper. These individuals were chosen to maintain high -level executive positions in 14 business sectors in the state.

Small Business of the Week: American Senator Joni Ernst, R-Iowa, has announced the Edgewood Locker of Clayton County in the northeast of Iowa as its small business of the week. In 1966, Tom and Joan Kerns founded Edgewood Locker in a rental building in downtown Edgewood. Their sons, Terry and Jim, later joined the business. By 1980, Kerns established a family partnership that has grown to ensure personalized meat processing while serving meat sticks, sausage, rib eye steak, clumsy and much more in their retail store. Today, Terry and Jim run business with the third generation of family, Luke, Katie, Bail and Payson. Edgewood Locker will celebrate its 58th anniversary in Iowa later this year. Ernst, chairman of the Small Business Committee of the Senate, is appointing an extraordinary small business of the week in each of the Iowa circles during this session of Congress.
